FarmLoop Stage 2 Goes Beyond Bambu Lab: Prusa Core One, Snapmaker U1, Elegoo Centauri Carbon

FarmLoop just left the Bambu-only world. Stage 2 now automates the Prusa Core One, Snapmaker U1 and Elegoo Centauri Carbon, and one of them needed a build plate that did not exist until now.

FarmLoop Stage 2 Goes Beyond Bambu Lab: Prusa Core One, Snapmaker U1, Elegoo Centauri Carbon

FarmLoop just left the Bambu-only world. As of today, Stage 2 runs on three printers that are not made by Bambu Lab: the Prusa Core One, the Snapmaker U1, and the Elegoo Centauri Carbon. Stage 1 is live for all three as well, free on MakerWorld. And one of those printers needed a build plate that did not exist until now, so we built it with BIQU.

This is the biggest step FarmLoop has taken since launch. Until now, every automated FarmLoop printer was a Bambu Lab machine. A lot of you have been asking for these three, some of you for over a year, and starting today they are here.

TL;DR

  • FarmLoop Stage 2 is live for the Prusa Core One, Snapmaker U1 and Elegoo Centauri Carbon. Full automatic part ejection: bend the plate, push the part off, start the next print.
  • The Stage 2 hardware is the same as the Stage 2 P/X kit. Only the printed parts change, and those are free on MakerWorld.
  • The Prusa Core One needed a custom build plate. The standard plate cannot take repeated bending cycles, so we developed one with BIQU that can. It ships with the kit. Plate stock for this first run is limited.
  • Stage 1 is free on MakerWorld for all three printers. Start there if you want to see the loop running before you buy anything.
  • Already own a Stage 2 X/P kit? The small upgrade kit from July carries the screws for all three printers. Printed parts and app support are live now.
  • FarmLoop kits now ship from the US and the EU. Shorter delivery times, no surprise duties on arrival.

1. Three new printers, one familiar kit

Stage 2 is the FarmLoop level where the printer runs as a loop: the plate bends to pop the finished part loose, a push clears it off the bed, and the next job starts without anyone standing next to the machine. That cycle now runs on the Prusa Core One, the Snapmaker U1 and the Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

The engineering follows the same principle as every FarmLoop release: reuse what works. The Stage 2 hardware for these printers is identical to the Stage 2 P/X kit. The actuation, the electronics, the switch, all the same. What changes are the printed mounting parts, and those are free on MakerWorld. If you already understand how Stage 2 works on a P1S, you already understand how it works on a Core One.

Stage 1, the passive bender you operate by hand, is also live for all three printers, also free. It is the right way to test whether automatic part removal works for your parts before spending money on the full kit.

2. The Prusa needed a plate that did not exist

The Snapmaker U1 and the Elegoo Centauri Carbon worked with their stock build plates. The Prusa Core One did not.

FarmLoop ejects parts by bending the build plate. That means the plate is not a passive consumable anymore, it is a moving part that flexes on every single print cycle. The standard Core One plate is not built for that. In our testing it could not take repeated bending cycles, and a plate that fails mid-loop takes your whole automated farm down with it.

So we developed a custom plate with BIQU that can. BIQU already builds the FarmLoop plates for the Bambu Lab series, so they were the obvious partner, and this is now the second plate we have engineered together.

Two honest things you should know before ordering:

  • Stage 2 on the Core One only works with this plate. The kit ships with one. Spares are worth having, because a cooling plate should never hold up the next print, and a farm that waits on one plate is not a farm.
  • Plate stock for this first run is limited. Plates are the one part we cannot print ourselves. If the Prusa is your machine, do not sit on it.

3. Already on Stage 2? The upgrade kit covers you

If you already own a Stage 2 X/P kit, you do not need to buy a new kit for these printers. The small upgrade kit we released in July carries the screws for all three new machines, and the printed parts plus the app support are live as of today. Print the parts, move the kit, keep looping.

4. We now ship from the US and the EU

We know ordering from us has not always been fun outside Switzerland. Shipping to the EU was slow, and duties made kits more expensive on arrival than on the order page. We heard you, and this launch is exactly why we pushed hard to get local fulfillment live in time.

FarmLoop kits now ship from our partners in the US and in the EU: US orders ship from New York, EU orders ship from Germany. That means shorter delivery times, and no duties.

What's next on the FarmLoop roadmap

  • Stage 3 for the Bambu Lab A series
  • Stage 2 for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2, Prusa MK4S and Prusa XL
  • Then: Stage 3 for the P/X series

Frequently Asked Questions

Does FarmLoop work on the Prusa Core One?

Yes. FarmLoop Stage 1 and Stage 2 both support the Prusa Core One as of October 2026. Stage 2 requires the custom FarmLoop BIQU build plate, because the standard Core One plate cannot take repeated bending cycles. The plate ships with every Core One Stage 2 kit.

Does FarmLoop work on the Snapmaker U1 and the Elegoo Centauri Carbon?

Yes, both. Stage 1 is free on MakerWorld for both printers, and Stage 2 kits are shipping now. Both machines run Stage 2 with their stock build plates.

Do I need a new kit if I already own FarmLoop Stage 2 for a Bambu Lab printer?

No. The Stage 2 hardware is identical across printers. The small upgrade kit carries the screws for the Prusa Core One, Snapmaker U1 and Elegoo Centauri Carbon, and the printed mounting parts are free on MakerWorld. App support for all three printers is live.

Why does the Prusa Core One need a special build plate for automation?

FarmLoop ejects finished prints by bending the build plate, so the plate flexes on every print cycle. The stock Core One plate is not designed for repeated bending and fails over time. The custom plate we developed with BIQU is built specifically for continuous bending cycles. Stage 2 on the Core One only works with this plate.

Is there a spare plate for the Prusa Core One kit?

Yes, spare plates are available in the shop, and we recommend having one: while one plate cools with a finished print on it, the next job can already run. Note that plate stock for the first production run is limited.

What is the difference between FarmLoop Stage 1 and Stage 2?

Stage 1 is a passive bender you operate by hand to pop finished parts off the plate. It is free on MakerWorld for every supported printer. Stage 2 automates the full cycle: the plate bends, the part gets pushed off the bed, and the next print starts automatically. Stage 2 is a paid hardware kit.

Where do FarmLoop kits ship from?

As of October 2026, FarmLoop kits ship from New York for US orders and from Germany for EU orders, as well as from Switzerland. US and EU customers get shorter delivery times and no customs duties on arrival.

Which 3D printer is best for a print farm?

We ran a Bambu Lab X2D, a Prusa Core One, a Snapmaker U1 and an Elegoo Centauri Carbon non-stop with FarmLoop automation until each machine failed: 367 printed cats and 137 hours of runtime. The full breakdown of what broke, when, and what that means for farm use is in our review video on YouTube.

Wrap-up

Three new printers, one plate we had to invent, and a farm full of broken machines to prove it all works. If you run a Prusa Core One, a Snapmaker U1 or an Elegoo Centauri Carbon, start with the free Stage 1 on MakerWorld or grab a Stage 2 kit while the first run lasts. Time to turn filaments into profits.
