The Bambu Lab H-Series is now fully automated by FarmLoop. That covers the H2D, the H2S, and the H2C. Dual linear actuators send a wave across the build plate to pop parts loose, and a new mounting trick clips the system directly to the plate's own slots, no screws and no drilled holes.
It was the hardest printer we have ever automated at 3D Farmers. The underside of the H-Series has no mounting holes, no exposed edge, and no slots, so the entire X1 Carbon mounting design we shipped earlier could not even be installed. We had to start over.
TL;DR
- FarmLoop Stage 1 for H-Series is free on Makerworld. Clips to the plate slots in five seconds. Works on H2D, H2S, and H2C with no tools.
- FarmLoop Stage 2 for H-Series is shipping in limited stock. Two 75mm linear actuators replace the passive bender, firing out of sync to send a wave across the bigger H-Series plate.
- The Z-axis stays locked during ejection because the actuators do the work, so you keep the full printable height the H-Series was built for.
- X/P Series Stage 2 reliability fix: a redesigned limit switch holder makes the flush mount obvious. If your bend was firing inconsistently, this is the fix.
1. FarmLoop H-Series: Stage 1 and Stage 2 Are Live
Nobody had automated the Bambu Lab H-Series before. The underside has no mounting holes, no edge, no slots for a passive bender to grab onto. Every mounting strategy we use on the X1 Carbon and P1S came back as "won't fit."
So we changed the attachment point. Instead of mounting under the plate, we clip the bender directly into the build plate's own slots. Five seconds to install. No tools. Works identically on the H2D, the H2S, and the H2C. That is Stage 1, and it is free on Makerworld.

Why Stage 2 needed actuators
Stage 2 was harder. The H-Series build plate is physically bigger than the X1 Carbon's, and a single passive bend hits a hard limit on large parts. Push past 50mm of part length and the Z-axis skips under load. The plate gets crushed. We learned that one the expensive way during prototyping.
The fix was to give up on passive bending entirely. We replaced the single bender with two 75mm linear actuators that fire out of sync. The two actuators send a wave across the plate, diagonally, so every square millimeter of the bed flexes at some point during the cycle. We call this exchange impacts. Parts that survive a single static bend cannot survive a moving wave.

Because the actuators do the work, the Z-axis stays locked through the entire ejection cycle. You keep the full printable height of the H-Series. That is exactly why most people bought the H-Series in the first place, so we were not going to give it up to make automation easier.
Watch the build and the failures
The H-Series Stage 2 development was not clean. We crushed plates, lost prints, and spent weeks on actuator timing before the wave bending worked the way it does now. We filmed it.

2. X/P Series Reliability Fix: New Limit Switch Holder
A few of you reported the door opening at the wrong time or the bend firing inconsistently on Stage 2 for X1 Carbon, P1S, and P1P. Thanks to everyone who sent details and photos. We tracked the cause down and it is a small thing with a big effect.
The cause was the limit switch mounting position. If the switch sits even slightly proud or slightly recessed in the old holder, the trigger goes intermittent. Sometimes the door reads "closed" when it is not. Sometimes the bend fires before the plate is fully positioned. The old holder did not make the correct mounting depth obvious enough, so it was easy to install slightly wrong and not notice for weeks.
We redesigned the holder. The new version shows at a glance whether the switch is flush, so you can see the correct position from across the room.

If you have had reliability issues on X or P Series Stage 2, this is your fix. Download the updated holder from Makerworld and remount the switch like the photo. Message us if anything is still off after the update and we will help you troubleshoot.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does FarmLoop work on the Bambu Lab H2D, H2S, and H2C?
Yes. FarmLoop Stage 1 and Stage 2 both support the full Bambu Lab H-Series: H2D, H2S, and H2C. Stage 1 is free on Makerworld and clips into the build plate's own slots in five seconds with no tools. Stage 2 is a paid kit with two 75mm linear actuators.
What is the difference between FarmLoop Stage 1 and Stage 2 for the H-Series?
Stage 1 is a passive bender that clips to the H-Series plate slots and pops parts loose by flexing the plate edge. It is free on Makerworld and works on small to medium parts. Stage 2 replaces the passive bender with two 75mm linear actuators that fire out of sync, sending a wave across the entire build plate. Stage 2 handles bigger parts that Stage 1 cannot eject, and keeps the Z-axis locked so you do not lose any printable height.
My FarmLoop Stage 2 on X1 Carbon or P1S has been unreliable. What do I do?
Almost certainly the limit switch mounting depth. The old holder did not make the correct flush position obvious, so the switch could sit slightly proud or recessed and trigger intermittently. Download the redesigned limit switch holder from Makerworld and remount the switch flush, as shown in the reference photo above. If it still misbehaves after the update, contact us and we will help you troubleshoot.
Is there a video showing how the H-Series Stage 2 was developed?
Yes. The full release video on YouTube walks through the failures, the crushed plates, the actuator-timing experiments, and the wave-bending design that ended up shipping. It is the most honest version of the build story and worth watching before you install the kit.
Wrap-up
The H-Series automation took us months and broke a few build plates in the process. If you are running an H2D, an H2S, or an H2C, grab the Stage 1 hardware free on Makerworld and try it tonight. If you run a small farm and want Stage 2, the kit is shipping now in limited stock.
